Description

With the up and coming zbase project, it makes sense to use offsets for the 32bpp sprites so that they fit the new 32bpp rail sprites.

This however means that the 32bpp sprites no longer fit other 8bpp train set offsets.

I'm wondering what thoughts you have on the subject.

Perhaps there is a way that I can detect if zbase is active so that I can alter the templates used?

Never. Basesets must not identify to NewGRFs nor vice versa.

So, we should align the 32bpp sprites to zbase and forgo offset compatibility with 8bpp pixel sprites?

  • Category set to 32bpp
  • Status changed from New to Feedback
  • Priority changed from Normal to Low

Offsets will be left as they are and will await feedback about the zbase project
