Description

The horizontal maglev sprites have partially a non-perpendicular segment separation while all other directions always have exactly perpendicular segment separation (e.g. see http://media.openttd.org/images/screens/0.7/desert_island_opengfx_planetmaker_20090712.png ).

Personally I actually think that it looks good and would rather introduce that for the other segments, too :-)

The whole maglev tracks are in discussion since they are in, also Zephyris self once agreed, that they need rework, but first we need a complete opengfx. Well, if someone is able to provide us perfect replacement for it, fine. But until then I wouldn't mark that as bug. It is just not perfect as the whole maglev might be.

I think, that belongs to the future review part, if the replacement ever will be complete. (after beta1)

Edit: IMO, something needs to be said here once too: the maglev tracks from original (trg1r.grf) are UGLY, either.

Actually I'd prefer to have completely new maglev sprites, something between the current monorail and FooBar's transrapid tracks. Thoughts?

I can do a quick fix by moving some pixels. But is there a way, such as track templates, for me to do without repeating the step 20 times on different tiles?

afaik there's no such template.

But it'd be nice, if you kinda established one: make a regularily, grid-spaced arangement of the maglev sprites and it shall be fine and easy to implement.

There's still one problem with the maglev sprites, maybe you could fix that, too?

It's the underlay sprite for this junction orientation for all climates. It needs shifting one pixel lower and maybe one pixel to the right. The other junction orientations are fine without modification.

Do you mean this sprite? The |\ Shape hole?
If so, I will do it later.

yes, exactly that type of sprite :-)
The "hole" (or underlay) has an offset as described wrt all other maglev sprites, if the tile is aligned as any ground tile has to be.
