NML syntax highlighter for Geany

Technical documentation
2011-07-28

You can use this extension to get syntax highlighting in NML with Geany.

Note: This requires Geany 0.20 or newer.

1. In Geany, use the Tools->Configuration Files->filetype_extensions.conf menu item.

2. Add the following line, just above the "None" line (it is the last one): "NML=*.pnml;*.nml;"

3. Copy the filetypes.NML.conf file to the filedefs subfolder of your geany configuration. On Windows 7 it is placed at: "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\geany\filedefs". If you use linux, you can find it at "~/.config/geany/filedefs/".

4. Restart Geany, you should have syntax highlighting for nml and pnml files now.
